I Hate Being Stuck

I feel so limited with what I can do politically because of my gender. 

Right now I am stuck voting for the pro-choice (read: Democratic) candidate, no matter what. Unless of course, the Democratic and Republican candidates are both anti-choice, and then I can’t vote for anyone.   

Thankfully, the Democratic party and I line up on almost all issues. I am a little farther to the left than they are, but we’re pretty damn close. 

It’s just…I wish I had some options. 

I get slammed by Democratic men sometimes because I don’t put a strong emphasis on the economy, and I won’t vote for anti-choice Democrats. But there is nothing I can do about that!

Simply by virtue of being a woman and having a uterus my options are limited.

I WISH I could vote for people based solely on their economic policies. I WISH I had that privilege.

But I don’t.

And it sucks.
